	Missions: Letter from Lee Kauffman Missionary to the Jola people of West Africa Subject: Jan. 2008 Praise and Prayer Update for the Jola-fonyi people Date: Fri 1/4/2008 3:44 PM Lamine and Jeneba have been studying the Bible for many years. They both have asked Jesus to come into their heart but there have been no outward signs of change as they continue to go to the mosque and celebrate all Muslim holidays. They say they believe that Jesus is the only way into heaven and that the message in the Bible is the truth. Lamine asked the elders of the village if he could openly be a follower of Jesus and their response to him is to “wait”, so that is what they are doing. He studies the Bible with Lee every week, Jeneba studies with Donelle and even helps with the ladies storying group. She also teaches their 3 children some Christian songs they have heard and have on tape. Pray for this family that they may be the first family in this village to follow Jesus. Pray that God will give them the courage to step out and openly believe in Jesus and tell their family and friends about Jesus. Please pray for the Dental team that will be working in Koubalan Jan 29 – Feb 8, 2008. Pray for their preparations to come and for their travel to and from Koubalan (all the way from Alaska). Pray for strength and health while conducting the clinic. Pray that those that come to the clinic would not only receive physical healing, but would also meet the One who gives complete physical and spiritual healing.
